Job Description

Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
Manage full-cycle recruitment process from job posting to offer acceptance
Source, screen, and interview candidates for open positions
Coordinate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and requirements
Conduct reference checks and background verifications
Maintain candidate databases and talent pipelines
Develop employer branding strategies to attract quality candidates
Track recruitment metrics including time-to-hire and cost-per-hire
Onboarding & Orientation
Design and implement comprehensive onboarding programs for new hires
Conduct new employee orientation sessions
Ensure completion of all hiring paperwork and documentation
Coordinate with IT and facilities for workspace and equipment setup
Monitor new hire progress during probationary periods
Gather feedback to continuously improve onboarding experience
Employee Relations
Act as a point of contact for employee questions, concerns, and grievances
Mediate workplace conflicts and facilitate conflict resolution
Conduct investigations into employee complaints and policy violations
Provide coaching and guidance to managers on employee issues
Promote positive employee engagement and workplace culture
Conduct stay interviews and exit interviews
Analyze turnover data and develop retention strategies
Performance Management
Administer performance appraisal systems and review cycles
Train managers on providing effective feedback and conducting evaluations
Support development of performance improvement plans (PIPs)
Monitor goal-setting and achievement tracking processes
Identify skill gaps and recommend training solutions
Facilitate career development discussions
Training & Development
Assess organizational training needs through surveys and consultations
Design, coordinate, and deliver training programs and workshops
Manage learning management systems (LMS) and training records
Develop leadership development programs
Coordinate external training opportunities and certifications
Measure training effectiveness and ROI
Support succession planning initiatives
Compensation & Benefits Administration
Administer payroll processing and ensure accuracy
Manage employee benefits programs including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies
Conduct salary surveys and market research for competitive positioning
Support annual compensation review and merit increase processes
Handle benefits enrollments, changes, and terminations
Respond to employee inquiries regarding compensation and benefits
Ensure compliance with wage and hour laws
HR Compliance & Policy Management
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations
Develop, update, and communicate HR policies and procedures
Maintain employee handbook and ensure regular updates
Conduct HR audits to ensure compliance and identify risks
Manage employee records and ensure proper documentation
Coordinate workplace safety programs and OSHA compliance
Handle workers' compensation and disability claims
Prepare and submit required government reports (EEO-1, VETS-4212, etc.)
HRIS & Data Management
Maintain and update human resources information systems (HRIS)
Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality
Generate HR reports and analytics on key metrics
Manage employee files (both electronic and physical)
Track and report on headcount, turnover, absenteeism, and other KPIs
Support HRIS implementation and system upgrades
Organizational Development
Support change management initiatives
Facilitate organizational restructuring and workforce planning
Conduct employee engagement surveys and analyze results
Develop strategies to improve workplace culture and employee satisfaction
Support diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives
Coordinate team-building activities and employee recognition programs
Employee Offboarding
Process employee resignations, retirements, and terminations
Conduct exit interviews and analyze feedback
Coordinate final paycheck, benefits continuation (COBRA), and return of company property
Update systems and documentation for separated employees
Ensure smooth knowledge transfer and transition planning
HR Administration
Respond to employment verification requests
Maintain organizational charts and job descriptions
Coordinate employee events and wellness programs
Manage HR budget and vendor relationships
Prepare correspondence, reports, and presentations
Stay current on HR trends, best practices, and legal updates
Support special projects and initiatives as assigned
