About Wakao
Wakao is a food company built around jackfruit. We work with over 350 hotels, restaurants,
and cafes across India. Our goal is to make the superfood jackfruit a go-to ingredient in Indian
kitchens.
Job Overview
You’ll be responsible for finding and managing clients in the HORECA space (Hotels,
Restaurants, Catering). This means meeting chefs, owners, and F&B managers, showing them
what Wakao offers, and helping them use our jackfruits product in their menus.
Responsibilities
Sales and Business Development
Find and reach out to new clients in the hospitality industry
Build a strong sales pipeline and close deals
Set and hit sales targets for your region
Client Relationships
Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients
Be the main point of contact for any client needs or issues
Follow up regularly and provide support after the sale
Product Demos and Menu Development
Meet chefs and kitchen staff to show how to use our products.
Conduct tastings and trials at client locations
Suggest menu ideas and applications for our product
Operations and Coordination
Ensure orders are delivered on time and correctly
Coordinate with internal teams to fix any issues
Collect feedback from clients and share with the team
Market Feedback and Reporting
Keep an eye on competitors and market trends
Report on your weekly activity and sales pipeline
Share client feedback to help improve our products and service
